Chelle Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 I got home from A & E last night after waiting for 4 hours to have my toe glued together lol! There was me with a huge cut in my toe that runs the whole length of my big toe, complete with glass i might add. Refusing to let the doctor stitch it! She told me this option would be very painful so i refused the injections and the stitches and opted for the glue! BIG MISTAKE! The glue fooking hurts! Got me a nice purple tattoo on the botton of my foot though Trust me to damage myself just before my second week at work lol!
Mr Sam Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 i had my eyebrow and chin glued together after coming off my bike once...........it hurts i know hope it gets better soon

RedexRob Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 Interesting fact....superglue was concieved as a way for Marines to quickly treat their wounds in the battlefield with no stitching involved...I think or is it one of those urban myths ? Hope your toe gets better Chelle , just don,t do what I did and stub it whilst its on the mend ! LOL BTW was that Grimly Dark...Frimley Park Hospital ?
escort21 Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 Mearly a flesh wound ....try having an ingrowing toilnail peeled off with a pair of apparently 'surgical' pliers
Burns Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 ouch, had it done by a proper doctor and it hurt enough, what would possess you to use pliers?! *cringes*
RFChris Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 SOUNDS NASTY !!!!!!!!!!!!! 3rd'ed Well.....be rude not too...... I put my hand through the glass in the kitchen window once. And i also had to suffer the glue (no stable skin with witch to stitch....oooh...a ryme. urm. anyway) and i agree....it fookin hurts like a good'un!

Chelle Posted October 17, 2006 Author Report Posted October 17, 2006 Oooo you so mean Christopher!!!! Suppose i'll have to put a pic up now won't i! Its not the length of the cut that bothered me really, it was the depth. it didn't go straight in, it went down the side of my toe! Check out the cool purple glue though Hmm that pics rubbish! Some one can resize it for me if they want Sorry did it on me fone!

Chelle Posted October 17, 2006 Author Report Posted October 17, 2006 By the time i'd got from the computer upstairs to the kitchen my tights were i nice shade of dark read all over my foot! Not to mention the blood stains on the carpet all down the stairs
Burns Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 ooch can i ask, how did you tread on glass whilst sat at your computer?
Chelle Posted October 17, 2006 Author Report Posted October 17, 2006 Obviously i went to sit down and the glass was under the desk
RFChris Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 I sympathise.....that was from punching a glas door some years ago. It cut through the tendon in my thumb which had to be......gulp......"recovered" which was not pleasant. Nothing hurts or bleeds more than a glass cut! Shudder. Chris
