MK5 Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 good night but shame about the t0$$ers who thought it was big and clever to leave as sideways as possible hope the landlord doesn't stop us using the pub for meets as a result

Super_Shaun Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Was my first meet, plenty of old skool of all variations. Will be going to the next one. The Parking could of been organised a little better though .
over_head_cam Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Was my first meet, plenty of old skool of all variations. Will be going to the next one. The Parking could of been organised a little better though . Organise the parking? I have heard a lot of people say this. I am unsure how we can organise parking in a public car park. I'm not sure how we can make the car park any bigger to accommodate more cars either. We could cram the cars in a bit tighter I suppose, but then people would be blocked in and have to wait to leave. I feel though, that we do our best to organise these meets, get to know the owners of venues, try and get thing sorted for people, but allways end up with complaints. Please tell me, everyone who is displeased, just how can we guess how many people will turn up to a certain meet?

Please tell me, everyone who is displeased, just how can we guess how many people will turn up to a certain meet? The meet was very well organised and I enjoyed going to my first OSF none show/event meet the parking was all that let it down I appriciate you cant take numbers into account or how many people will be there already but just a nod on were abouts to park as it was a bit daunting going somewere ive never been and trying to find a space in a heaving car park, not wanting to ding someone else's pride and joy or my own for that matter. Also leaving was a bit close with the entrance/exit being a bit crowded. Dont take it as a dig as im sure you are already trying to figure out how to make it even better next time.
Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 3, 2007 Admin Report Posted September 3, 2007 Was my first meet, plenty of old skool of all variations. Will be going to the next one. The Parking could of been organised a little better though . Hello Shaun - nice to meet you To be honest, Ian and I got there at 7.15ish and the car park was heaving then ..... I think it was mainly due to the lovely weather bringing the golfers out and the public. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about that as the car park is not reserved for us. That said, it didn't help that the landlord had forgotten we were coming and so didn't keep any parking cordoned off which he has said he will do next time
