Rick Posted August 17, 2007 Report Posted August 17, 2007 just been having a dabble under the car with the handbrake cable for sierra callipers. (from GS escorts) has anyone else got pictures of how theres is fitted as i cant quite suss it out. obviously i gotta make a couple brackets to mount bits to the axle but i need to know how its linked to the handbrake lever and how the adjuster is attatched, i dont think im doing it right as i seem to have a lot of slack

ratman Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 I used old ford auto's ajuster brackets you can mount them where you like thus taking up the slack in the cable they do a kit with all the bits you need for rear disks - the disk & calipers http://www.oldfordautos.co.uk/phdi/p1.n ... ent&part=7 ratman
Rick Posted August 18, 2007 Author Report Posted August 18, 2007 ah cheers mate! i just assumed the cables from gs escorts had been made up to fit the escorts adjuster, etc i might make one rather than buy one though cheers
escort21 Posted August 18, 2007 Report Posted August 18, 2007 If you make the outta sheathing longer the cable gets magically shorter
