all i want off it is the back axel and the front struts the rest will be scrapped i think unless i can be arsed to ebay the rest

On an A reg it will definitely not be LSD equipped unless someone has retro fitted it afterwards

 

There were 4 distinct phases of 2.8i

 

Early 4 speeders with the chequered interior (no LSD)

5 Speeders with the 2 tone grey velour seats (No LSD)

2.8i Specials with a half leather interior and colour coded grill introduced at B reg (LSD equipped)

280 Brooklands with a full leather interior, 15" wheels and colour coded grill (LSD equipped)

 

If you're buying it in the hope of picking up a cheap LSD there's a 99% chance you're wasting your money.

i just need a back axel for me mk1 esort project so that will do the job

if it has a lsd it will be a bonus if not theres no worries i will still fit it

got an old issue of classic ford here and it says that LSDs were optional on all 2.8i's,but standard on 2.8i specials

Front struts should be billies.. bolt on conversion for your escort as far as I know and should lower the ride height -1"
