Admin Vista Posted September 2, 2007 Admin Report Posted September 2, 2007 Oops i did it again i broke my RS got stuck what a pain oh escy escy oops!...I got no clutch and hence no gears It's not reliable!! Easy fix at the roadside fortunately, it was just the pin had come out of the end of the clutch cable at the top of the pedal. Unfortunately I hadn't got any spanners to slacken the cable adjustment and re-attach it.................so I had to go for a mega helping of chicken and chips while I waited Otherwise I had a nice day out at a little local show at Lulworth castle in Dorset, a great little venue

Admin Vista Posted September 2, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted September 2, 2007 bet the RAC man was suprised to be called out to that! He was indeed. It's the 2nd time in two months I've had to call them out, the first time 3 of them turned up as they'd all seen the call on the computer and all wanted a peek at a mk1 RS.

Careful Scott, my Mum & I had joint RAC membership & we called them out 3 times & got kicked out for excessive use!
Admin Vista Posted September 2, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted September 2, 2007 Careful Scott, my Mum & I had joint RAC membership & we called them out 3 times & got kicked out for excessive use! I think you probably have cause for complaint there, it says in the policy booklet what constitutes fair useage and it's more than 3 times for sole membership, it's even more for joint membership. edit: yep just looked up their fair call out policy online Breakdown Entitlement Personal Based Single: 5 Callouts Joint 6 Callouts Family 7 Callouts Details here http://www.rac.co.uk/web/breakdowncover ... itions.pdf
lead foot Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 sorry to here that scott, one more breakdown and you have caught me up !!!
Admin Vista Posted September 2, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted September 2, 2007 It was a really simple thing I could have fixed myself if I'd had a shifter or two in the car.
