Anyone on here tried Absinthe?

I've read about it and now Marilyn Manson has just released his own brand in conjunction with a Swiss producer but I have never tried it or even come across it in any pubs. I always think of 1880's London when I hear of it

Pernod is an absinthe. I've had that and it make me go crazy.... mad crazy....

I had it in my youth a few times, and it wasn't too bad. BUT i had it during my stag doo a few weeks back and it nearly made me throw up. Urgh. Vile stuff.

They sell it in the local chav (weatherspoons) pub nr. me I had for the first time about a year ago. Its not that bad but I much prefer jegameister (sp) now that is proper hangover stuff

Pernod is a TYPE of Absinthe, but its not Absinthe. Try the real deal Jo, its good gear

i drink Absinthe, if you want a good one then you need to get one with a high wormwood rating, some you get are high in % but no wormwood. the wormwood is what makes you get a high from it and it was that ingredient that meant it was banned in lots of places i think .
