thefatcapri Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 Matching wheels are also a must so if you know of anyone with a pair of 7x15 American racing 5 Spokes (Jag/Chevy pattern)..... If you're still after American Racing wheels, these guys have a good selection: http://www.northhantstyres.com/american%20racing%20vintage.htm

Gazzamobile Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 Just cool Old Skool How many more people can we get to use an American Graffiti Avatar? Think it's just our age mate first saw it a couple of years after it's release when I was 14, was already heavily into 70's rebirth of Rock & Roll then just got fixated on cars. Rest as they say is history. Still watch it ,still love it, just sad I guess
V8ian Posted September 19, 2007 Report Posted September 19, 2007 The problem is that they don't make a skinny AR 5 Spoke 7x15 is the skinniest, i.e not very skinny.Plans? Well the Rover V8 may go, or may not, it seems it needs new cam and followers and the SU's are a bit wheezy too, the interior is going to go pseudo race (ie race styled but not to spartan as it's almost a daily driver) It's cosmetics really other than that. In an ideal world, eg money no object, I'd like a tuned cossie and box with live rear axle instead of jag irs...maybe one day.... I thought you could get AREs in smaller widths http://www.wheelsforless.com/vintage_wheels.htm BTW like the car
thelastbandit Posted September 19, 2007 Author Report Posted September 19, 2007 Thanks for that link m8! The yanks don't know how lucky they are, $159.00 for a Torq Thrust??!! Defo going with AR Wheels of some sort, wether imported or bought here. Thanks for all the nice comments on my Pop
mossy Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 it works out cheaper to import wheels even with the tax then it does to buy them over here... its just getting the right fitment and pcd
