Slik 50 Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 We have just had a clean set of slotmags in at work that I have just had first dibs on. They are in 2 pairs one being genuine cobras. One of the pairs has elongated stud holes but not in the sense of them being worn, they look like they should be that way, Is that normal
Messenjah Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 elongated as in oval holes m8 ????? my slots have been redrilleed to take laser wheelnuts but theyre not "elongated" as such just tapered ... post a pic up m8 !
Slik 50 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Report Posted October 11, 2007 I will try and get some pics up but the holes are not round, they are oval (longer from the rim to the center) on all four holes. They look like they are deliberate and not just worn. I have no idea if some one has machiened them or what?
Messenjah Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 sounds like someone bought them with the wrong pcd and has adapted them to fit on thier car you would need to make 100% certain they were on centralised or would have all sorts of issues ! i guess .... personall yi would be wary as there are plenty of slot mags out there the other oprion would be to get them welded up and then drilled to a ford pcd m8
Slik 50 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Report Posted October 11, 2007 TBH Im not that fussed as the main reason I got them was for mock up only, with the intention of getting some mint ones later on but I was just curious in ihe shape of the holes
flyingbanana Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 sounds like someone bought them with the wrong pcd and has adapted them to fit on thier car you would need to make 100% certain they were on centralised or would have all sorts of issues ! i would agree....i have some wheels which some one did the same thing.....they will never be used again unless they are re-welded and re drilled
Supercharged Nat Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 thats normal, ive seen it on other cobra wheels. oval holes for different pcd's i think.so long as your wheel nuts and eashers fit properly youl be ok
