I'm sure I've seen an A plate one. It was probably sat around for 4 years before being registered.

i use to see a y reg escort estate driving around se london and i've see a few x reg's over the years but one of them was an estate as well. I think there was a x reg escort saloon in a mag about 4 to 5 years back

My W reg MK2 escort was registerd 10/11/80. Not quite the same but a mate of mine has a G reg MK2 XR2 fieata and i know that they stoped makeing the mk2 feista on a F plate.

mine was registered in 1981 on a W! A bit annoying really because on the MOT it is down as a Mk3 Escort! As Ford stopped making mk2's in 1980, it automatically thinks your car is a later model if it is registered after that!
