Rover SD1 ...the only good thing bout the whole car was the V8 lump up front ....

I know I'm going to regret confessing this, I traded in my mk1 cav for a 1600 maestro it lasted me 60000 miles (sold at 91000 to someone else). I quite liked it (much better value than a golf) though me wife told me after i sold it that she really hated it (she must have good taste she liked my cortina on first sight).

My worst was a orange mk2 escort 1600 sport, the last escort i owned in 1998.... fantastic car but for what i payed i could have brought a supercar no more for me.

Worst owned and worst to drive was a reliant regal van(think del boy)Black with a blue stripe.The local yobs always used to turn it on its roof if it was parked up in town!

I drove a 1.1 auto mk2 feista once for about 100 yards got out and walked back home it was that bad !!

 

 

But the worst thing ( the word vehicle is to kind !) i have ever driven is a perkins powerd mk2 bedford cf van. It was like sitting next to a machine gun it was that loud, the stearing was shit it had no brakes and did 50 mph tops.

I learned to drive??? in a metro, hated the thing and as for the worst car ever owned there is a tie;

 

skoda or a shove it, ths skoda was a panic buy when i totalled my first car, was stiffed by my grandad into buying it, the one i had was the one all the jokes were based on.

Double the value, fill it up.

Heated rear screen to keep my hands warm when pushing it, etc.

 

The shove it was am terror to drive, had to write it a letter when i had to stop amd make a appointment to go, under a quater of a tank had to be a mind reader cause it used to just run out of fuel when it wanted to...

For me it has to have been the new shape Micra. While my Capri was having it's accident damage repaired/fooked up I was loaned three different cars. 2 Corsa's and a Micra. Before I could take the Micra back to the garage I had to ask Pudge to put all the bits back that had dropped off

 

I'd have a 30 year old motor anyday over this modern shite

its a toss up between a corsa (took one lesson in one) couldnt walk all evning damned uncomfortable things

 

and the saxo VTr awful to drive awful to work on awful to get in and out real uncomfy seats no room inside the clutch was gay the gear stick felt like stirring a cake it sounded evil it didnt like going round corners like the fiesta does it couldnt keep up with a 1.2 corsa, i couldnt get it past 90 the spark plugs are under the rocker cover FFS oh they look crap they are dead tacky inside the suspension creaked errrr the power steering felt like crap the abs annoyed the hell out of me the door didnt close properly neither did the roof

I learnt to drive in a 1300 diesel corsa. Wasnt too bad tbh. Pretty gutless, and he wouldnt even let me open it up. He always used to say 'just think of all the petrol you wasted then, and you didnt get anywhere'. Id have to remind him its a diesel.

 

I wasnt a big fan of the essy van in work. Brakes are shite, could never find a gear, and it struggled like hell to do anything. I think its a 1750 none turbo diesel with all the power of a cd player motor.

 

I did have great fun doing handbrake turns in a dennis dart once but the reason its a bad bus uis because i got caught by nosey bastards who grassed on me. So im not allowed to drive the buses on property anymore.
