Copey Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Dodge Charger or Challenger or a 1980's BMW M6
Mick The Cabbie Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 After wanting one for years, 5 years ago I bought a 2 owner 53k miles Chevette HS. It was a fab car! Wish I never sold it. Should ave restored it. Would deffo have another!! or some other go faster 70's luton product. An Ascona 400 replica would be nice or a Cossie powered Viva/ Chevette. Quite like the 1981ish BMW M535i too based on the 1st 5 series. During the early to mid 90's, I was quite into 60's american muscle. Anything with the 'Mopar' tag on it would be nice especialy the less well known ones- Dodge Coronet, Plymouth Satelite, Dodge superbee ...and yes I guess a Charger would be on the list too. Anyone who's vaugely into old yanks should go to the Mopar Nats at the pod. A highly recommended event MONEY NO OBJECT?? Me daily runner would be a hi power Audi or something else descreet. I'd deffo shy away from modern supercars exept maybe an Aston- the new ones are quite classy. Don't like modern Ferraris or Lambo's at all. Maybe a classic Ferrari at a push(deffo a 288GTO, looks like a stretched 308 ) or a 512 Boxer! May consider a well sorted air cooled Porker 911. The last of the aircooled 993's are nice, particularly the GT2/3 version!! or a 924 Carrera GT. Really though I'd go for Roadgoing versions of the group B cars. A Peugeot 205 Turbo 16(I went out in the 1st UK imported one back in 1985 at the tender age of 15) an Audi Sport Quattro(me mates bro has a mint low owner/ mileage one in white). Last year, another mate bought a 85 Renault 5 Turbo2 ..again, a lovely low owner/ low miles car. I guess if I win the lottery, I'll buy a hanger with a house in the garden
