Guest MK1gaz Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 Moan Moan Moan...Im a ford man through and through...And i love em with passion...But if you dont like whats in the mag dont buy it....Simple Could do a feature on trailers so all the trailer spit and polish boys on the Rs forums, Then they can see whats best to trailer there cars to the shows... Cars are made for driving and enjoying, I dont moan when someone has a mint show car who spends hours polishing and showing the car. If thats what they like good luck to them. For me cars are made for driving,And theres nothing better then backing an old ford into bend on the edge... Whatever engine is in it,Like i said Each to there own, But i belive you should and abuse em, If they break..Fix em....end of the day its a car Get out there and use them for what there made and built for wise words mate
Posse Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 Chris @ ben if they don't like it get on there and tell them to jog on
over_head_cam Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 I can't see exactly what has peen posted on that site, but I reckon I get the idea I would guess though that this person is not interested in the way that old (and not so old) fords have been modified for years and years. Back when dinosaurs lived, and Jesus whas pitching roofs, people were putting non Ford engines in Fords. Fiat twin-cams, Daimler V8's Jag engines, Rovers and more. I would consider a x-flow or a pinto first because they are straightforward and cheap. Plus all the bits are easily available and plentyfull. Plus, I have an idea how to work on them and do the bits and bobs. But If I felt like puttig a porsche V8 in a Fiesta, then I would. It would still be a fiesta, just Faster!
Tom Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 Porsche V8 in a fiesta . . . I like it. When do we start phil?
PIG Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 the guy on the rs site is a right cock, twat should post him some pics of my honda escort

Guest MK1gaz Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 Just look at modern cars, Focus ST......Volvo powered, Fiesta, Focus , transit diesels...... Peugeot Powered.........Even the old jelly mould diesel, 2.3 peugeot engine. Ford have been swapping engines for years why shouldn't we? Rude not to really And even a Duratec is a Mazda engine and that's going to be fitted to all the shopper focus' , transits and people carriers . It's just as well the new plastic Fords are shite and we don't want one !!!!!!!!
mk1super Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 RetroFord is fresh, intouch with what's really going on. And it gives the majority of readers what they want Classic Fords Modified. Now thats the key word here MODIFIED maybe the pipe and slipper brigade should wear there reading glasses when they go to Wh smiths. Guys dont change a thing your mag is the biz
Admin Vista Posted November 22, 2007 Admin Report Posted November 22, 2007 I like Retroford coz the tech section has proper paper that is soft, strong and thoroughly absorbent! Perfect for having a crafty read in the bog when you look up and find the toilet roll empty
Stu_B Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 If you modify a car why not the engine! Non ford wheels brembo brakes Most bit's on modified fords are non ford - so whats the problem!!
bomber1 Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 as o-h-c has said people have been swaping engines betwwen makes for decades in the pursuit of speed and power. if its a nice or quick old ford i dont give two fooks where the engine come from. its out there having it nuff said
huxmk1estate Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 I can't log on to their silly site because i have a hotmail account. Anyway, sod em. If they look back through the mags they'll see that most of them have Ford engines. Modifying them is all part and parcel of the diversity of the scene. Not to mention that at the top of every cover it says, clear for all to see.... "Classic Fords Modified" ....so to keep them happy should modifying not encompass the engine? Sigh. Chris. NB, as soon as i can get on there i will post this, or something to this effect. see now this is sill now... like chris says.. CLASSIC FORDS MODIFIED!! now i wasnt a fan of putting a xe into my mk1 but is FOOKING cheaper... anyways if i could get 240 plus hp out of a crossflow i would!!! so once im finished with the xe, is ppl going to jump on about using a RX7 lump
MK II Mark Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 Bring on the Hyabusa engined Anglia, he would shite bricks at that the muppet. I'm luvin your work guys keep it up
