RFChris Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 ....sigh. So, i live next door to a train station. The car-park isn't big enough so people park on my tiny tiny little street. This annoys me greatly as it means that on a Friday the bin wagon can't get down there so they don't collect. It also means that my usual parking spot (as we have two cars and a one car driveway) get taken by some commuter. So, i leaves a note on these cars...ahem... "Please park elsewhere, this is a private street. You cars pose a hazard to the children who live here along with causing an inconvenience. We will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur" ...after all, it's only a matter of time before the bin-truck wallops a car. Anyway, the note makes no difference and i remain angry..until tonight when i read the local paper. http://www.thisissomerset.co.uk/display ... ebarsearch Way to blow it out of proportion! Anyway, i'm going to make a run for the boarder....i should be safe there.

RFChris Posted November 17, 2007 Author Report Posted November 17, 2007 plus u dont know who else has left notes on cars? Thats what i thought, mine weren't exactly threatening. I just haven't seen any, so i assume its me. Still, if it's having an effect then i'm happy.

Ratters Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 nice one chris they've been on about the same in parts of bristol & are on about bringing in a scheme to charge people for parking on the steeet, per car. it's been on radio bristol on & off for the past fortnight or so as a big topic for the phone in's. i said if they want to encourage people to park on driveways & use there garages why don't they give the people who DO that & DON'T park on the streets a reduction in council tax?

BUT.. I understand that its an annoying thing.. like this for example.. The bloke who lives opposite me has a driveway just like us, and as we have 2 cars (mine and me mums) we have to park one car on the road, but the TW@T who lives opposite parks his car right bang outside our house evry day! and it makes me sick that he does this yet he has a driveway just like mine, and only one car!! Rant over
Noodles Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Yer but you dont own the space outside your house (unfortunalty) nettles parked his old works van outside the house across the road they phoned up the campany he worked for and complained, they just laughed at her

But like i said in my previous post it has tax and isnt on a yellow line so..
