duchy boy Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 Just spoke to the owner and he reckons the car was stolen between 6.00am and 7.00am this morning. The police think the car is still local (Cornwall area) so all you cornish members keep a lookout.

Guest cortinamad-gonetoo Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 hope you get it back King Apple Pies make me sick mine went nearly a year ago now(mk2 escort) no sign of it what so ever and i heard it drive away saw it go down the road they want their hands chopping off
Mick The Cabbie Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 I hope it turns up mate. It looks like a lovely motor. I think there's something quite special about them very early Mk1's. I had my first RS2000 stolen from the RS national day at Stanford hall back in 1991. Thanks to my own detective work and with a little help from the police, it turned up a few months later in the west midlands. Being an RS, they'd stripped it to a bare shell..
NHR115 Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 I'll let the OSF guys up here know about it. I know there are a few of them on this forum anyway but there's no harm in posting it on SOSE too. Hope something good comes of this and its found.
duchy boy Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 GOOD NEWS EVERYONE he got the car back.He got a phone call this afternoon from the old bill and someone had spotted it parked up only a mile from where it was stolen. The windows where down, and the interior is wet,a mirror has been knock off and it is plastered in mud. NO OTHER DAMAGE, sounds like joy riders.Anyway Jason is delighted to get it back and he would like to thank everyone for their help and support.
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Excellent! That's fantastic news! Made my day. I always get sad when I see that a classic car has been stolen...
Admin Vista Posted November 21, 2007 Admin Report Posted November 21, 2007 Good news indeed Lucky man!
mark2000 Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 Excellent news really happy for him
reanimation Posted November 22, 2007 Report Posted November 22, 2007 Better to get it back in this case. Sounded like it had the mark of a calculateted money hungry vin tag swaping scum bag at first. Instead, just little scrotey fooker, ones that didnt torch it either. Step up on security i thinks....
