4 doors are just as good as any other number of doors. Personally I like escort mk2's in 4 door form more than 2, no idea why tho. I still love all osf's though regardless of doors

i just wanna know why they are always looked down upon. i do mean all over and across all osfs here not just mine before i go on

 

heres one of my personal experiences:

 

took the car to the garage for tracking to be done and whilst waiting i heard a mechanic go 'hey u seen that mk2 escort on the ramps? shame its got 4 doors'...that was it. nothing else said but it does make you feel shit after all the ffort you put into your pride and joy to hear something like that.

 

 

imagine been at a show and someone walking u to your car and going 'oh its only got a pinto' then walking off

Its a matter of opinion and practicality. My day to day motor is a 4 door escort but my toy is a capri the 4 door has more of a practical feel to it, the fact you dont have to keep leaning the seat forward every time someone gets in and out is a bonus. But when it comes to speed and sideways action im with 2 doors all the way they just have a more dynamic look IMO.

I prefer them! 4 doors are cool, better looks, more pratical but just as good as a two door. so what if a two door is alittle lighter, im fat! (ish)

i love my mk2 and all its 4 doors...but i am tempted by the mk1 2 door escorts purely cos i think they look bloody sexy... the rear quarter looks soo cool and also the rest of the car. but i would still keep the 4 door
