10mpg Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Just picked up my new toy, here she is... what do you think? finally got something i've always wanted a proper yankee musclecar.... 1972 tax exempt Mustang coupe with all the tasty Mach1 bits attached..... Came with an enourmous set of Crager wheels and needs a new engine and satin black paint, but once done should be epic fun..... anyway here she is. hmmm current plans are a 351 windsor lump with a four barrel carb and a t5 box on the back, but i may fit a 302 with an auto for the time being Has anyone got any kind of yankee V8 engine and/or box they want to flog me?
Gareth Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Nice one m8, but I prefer the Charger it's sat next to
Mick The Cabbie Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Nice one m8, but I prefer the Charger it's sat next to Like he said

louie bagel Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Nice one m8, but I prefer the Charger it's sat next to Like he said looks cool and i'd love to have a charger
10mpg Posted November 26, 2007 Author Report Posted November 26, 2007 Cheers Guys! now do you think i should paint the back end black or the front end blue.... yeah that charger is epic 10 second NA big block with a reliable 650bhp... made my girlfriend jump a good distance vertically in the air when it fired up i just grinned like a loon.........
jimihendrix Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Nice one m8, but I prefer the Charger it's sat next to Like he said looks cool and i'd love to have a charger Cool car , I had a white 70 Mach1 Mustang a few years ago and sold it to buy an orange 68 Charger, the Charger was a fantastic car but just too friggin big, great for going to shows to park in a field but too big to park anywhere else, it was twice the size of the parking bays at my work (it takes up the same space as a long wheel base Transit ), also got paranoid about some idiot bumping into it, sold it in the end and was left wishing i'd kept the Stang
10mpg Posted November 26, 2007 Author Report Posted November 26, 2007 yeah, they guy i bought this mustang from drag races that charger and he rekons its an awfull drive, far to big and rubbish drum brakes etc, on the other hand he reckons my 'stang drove very well if a little bit soft on the suspension side...
mossy Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 always wanted one of them.....they are soo cool!
10mpg Posted November 28, 2007 Author Report Posted November 28, 2007 why thank you fellas, just gotta locate a suitable lump for her.... anyone got any ideas on where to look? I'm looking on ebay and I've spoken to real steel... colour wise I've decided on satin black with gloss black cobra stripes and chrome wheels and bumpers.... engine gloss black with chrome valve covers.. interior is going to dtay stock black on black... (can you see the theme here?)
10mpg Posted December 11, 2007 Author Report Posted December 11, 2007 Ok bought me an engine, I bought it as a 351 Cleveland but on investigation I'm pretty sure it's a 400M which is both good and bad.. Good because it's bigger, bad because tuning bits are scarce.. Cant decide weather to crack on with it or look for something else... Thoughts? anyways here are some piccies.. the mugs for scale.. check out those hooge ports heres the spangly new wheels check out the dish on the rears... yeah thats the same mug mmmmmmmmmmmmmm tea
slappy Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 very nice, prefer the shape of the 70 but a nice car all the same, stay with the 400 no sub for cubes
10mpg Posted December 11, 2007 Author Report Posted December 11, 2007 Yeah I hear what you say, aint no replacement for displacement... as for the looks i like mine but mustangs are always better the older they get, lookswise, ifi had the money I'd have a 68/69 fastback but if money was no object I'd have a GT350...
slappy Posted December 12, 2007 Report Posted December 12, 2007 Hi 10mpg, I did not mean to say I did not like yours, that sounded realy bad, just I grew up driving about in a 70 convertible, any way I would get the price for ugly car Corsairs you either love them or hate them, if only I had more money what a fleet I would have Slappy.
