the wipers on tina have given up

got the pannel off at the back of the engine bay, can see the thing that spins around on the end of the wiper motor, can see the arm that moves the wipers

the bit on the end of the motor have a black ball shape thing on it and the wiper linkage has a flat plate on the end with a hole in the middle of it

the hole in the linkage fits over the ball and sits there.... and then falls off.... so whats missing that holds it on?? :(

 but from your description it sounds like there should be some kind of circlip. Or perhaps it's just a push together ball and socket type joint, as they wear the ball becomes loose in the socket and eventually they come apart

Sometimes come up on the bay

if not i may have a wiper linkage in the garage, best to change the lot or the wipers park halfway down the bonnet if you don't get it all back in the correct place

mine went the same on one of mine...i used some areo plane locking wire and drill a hole in the base...wrapped it around the ball then through the hole..push together then wrap the locking wire around it keep it in...hasnt fallen off once yet and i tried a few different ways of fixing it and the locking wasis the only thing that worked

Sometimes you can take the arm off and turn it round & it will stay on !! depends how bad it is ??

Have a look round a scrappy other car makers use this system too, get the arm, cut the end off & weld it to yours if you cant get a tina one
