Anglia68 Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 Here's a real one from Stanford Hall a couple of years ago. And here it is being driven.
Anglia68 Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 Here's a link to Neil Fletcher Racing which has a few more pics including ones of the original FVA engine and the later Twin Cam that was fitted to XOO 349F http://www.neilfletcherracing.co.uk/escorts.htm
mk1super Posted December 27, 2007 Author Report Posted December 27, 2007 Was XOO344F a Mann race car?
mk1super Posted December 27, 2007 Author Report Posted December 27, 2007 I ment was there such a car or is it a made up job by model makers minichamps
Anglia68 Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 XOO 344F was definately an Alan Mann racer as was XOO 346F. This is the only pic I could find and it's only in B+W but it's still freakin cool.
Anglia68 Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 Here's the only pic I could find of the engine bay of XOO 349F fitted with the later Twin Cam rather than the earlier FVA.
mk1super Posted December 28, 2007 Author Report Posted December 28, 2007 Thanks for the info guys, one other question, how many of the original Mann racers are still alive? Anyone know?
Anglia68 Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 XOO 349F is still doing the show circuit but don't know about the others.I think I read that some went to South Africa or Australia, not really sure.

Mick The Cabbie Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Hey is that model alan mann escort in 1 /18 scale? I want it I got the large mk1 twin cam and the auto art lotus mk1 tina, I gotta have that ! where did ya get it ? Is that minichamps ? The Lotus Cortina is an exellent model. I won't buy the Twincam though. It aint got the AVO type front wings + it has the wrong steering wheel. Mayby I'm too picky, but for that sort of money they should be right..
