bmxdave Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 Ive got the pop cause its a weapon. Its ptobably the cheapest way for me to go as quick as possible, plus ive always loved the 100e shape. As soon as i saw it i knew i had to have it. I bought the cortina because ive aaalways wanted one.
deltamal Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 The Corty got left to to me in Father in laws will, to sell it and have the money for helping etc. it was too good to sell being a standard 1300, rust free example, thought I would just tweak it a little bit with a 1700 cross flow, that was 8 years ago now running a YB with T5 box, LSD, with 5 link and Nos on the way!
sab6024 Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 I got a mk1 Escort as my first car because my mates used to pick me up every week in their Escy's or Angles to take me down and re build Escy's so from then I knew I wanted one. I rolled it though and my ex bought me one the next day. He had it back because I kept blowing it up I have my Capri now because I started looking for one when I drove my brothers which was quick as....... Mine isn't quick but I still love driving it
Andy504 Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 My first car was a mk 2 essy, but i have always wanted a mk 1 estate since me an my brother used to slide sidewards on the vinyl back seat in me dads G reg one, when we were doin the roundabouts at rainford, And now im driving one, doin them roundabouts in rainford on full left lock looking thru the passenger window, awesome
Daggle Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 2 words really, George Polley. Watching him spanking his anglebox round Ipswich left a long and lasting impression on me, so I had to get one for myself
60ftman Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 My first real car was a '68 Mk1 Escort. Kind of started a trend, 'cos since then I've had: Escorts Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 (including Mk1 Mex, Mk2 Mex, Mk2 RS2's, Mk2 RS2 X-Pack, Mk3 XR3i), Mk2 Cortina, 2l & 2.8 Capri's, 3 litre Granadas, 100E, E93A, My last race car was a '66 Anglia (Super!). 7 litres of fun (piccy on my website). Current race car is my 9 litre RS2. Road cars are a Cougar (mine) and a Fiesta ST (Wife's). Oh, and there's a '67 Mustang project on the way. Bit of a Ford thing going on
shaun1.6ghia Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 i never had the chance of owning a old ford till recently an being the age that missed all the cheap old fords i really wish i'd have had that chance... i would still have a escort tho.. i used to see a orange mexico on my way to kings lynn every saturday to skateboard and said i'd have one, one day.... well that day is yet to come but atleast i have a mk2 escort. love all old fords now, jus going to shows really got me.... think id have anything as long as its old and ford. shaun
richie_stix Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 can't remember exactly how... but I've always loved the capri shape, there was a sweet black one in a garage near my grans that I remember from my child hood, i think that was the first time i liked what i saw.. then at college a couple of people had some and i thought they looked awesome... for me it was mainly my love for american muscle that got me into them, but as i got older (i say older i mean like 20 as opposed to 17) i realised american cars look sweet and are great for a drag race but are shit for eveything else, i wanted a british equivilant... hence choosing the hairy chested ford, the capri.... King love my car
Noodles Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 I orginally got mine for work didnt know about the following they had, then me dad turned around and said you can put a pinto min that
