Mr Sam Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 after an evnings 'urban exploring' im coming back through the center of Leicester and decide id give some gleaming M3 a taste of his own medicine i take the right hand lane and sit a few feet back from him ticking over like a sewing machine lights go amber bang im gone open it up and wake half of leicester up doesnt bother trying to keep up once ive put a few lengths between us but then charges past out of spite further down the road i just keep thinking to myself this is just a 1.1 and FWD god help the rest of the world when i get the anglia done oh yeah and heres leicesters old bus depot
bmxdave Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 Love it! Nothing beats a bit of baiting. I did it once to an Aston vanquish. and he didnt even overtake me again. Sorry but he lost all credibility and manhood when he just let what was effectively a Triumph herald with a big engine overtake him on the motorway. I went to college with an apprentice who worked there.
Team Blitz Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 NOTHING beats creaming a BitchMoanWhine propellerhead. NOTHING! Oi! (Really, it's not the bimmers themselves that suck. It's the people (most) who own them. Especially the widebody suburban twats. Really has become a girl marque more and more here anyway, as BMW offers A/T on all future M-models along with arse warmers....)
Stu_B Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 It's like a lion ignoring a pesky fly! He coulda smoked you starting in 3rd!
Toby Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 It's like a lion ignoring a pesky fly! He coulda smoked you starting in 3rd! You'd be suprised, if someone gets the jump on you at the lights, it's quite a way before you catch up. Do 'em Mr Sam. Poor Beemer driver! For the record I don't have any issue with the BM boys, they always seem to me to be the ones who give the when you pass them, and they always seem to have a look and seem interested. Now Merc drivers....... They hate loosing
Mr Sam Posted January 3, 2008 Author Report Posted January 3, 2008 thats it 60foot is what counts if i can put a couple of car lengths between us that puts a grin on my face, anyone watching will of just seen a 25 year old ford leave a 'performance' car off the lights oh yes and merc drivers.............
Muttley MK2 Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Do you seriously believe that some one in a 280 bhp m3 was pounced on by an 1100 fezza? The guy musta been fast asleep. An m3 goes 0to 60 in less than six seconds. Maybe you were sleeping and dreamed it all
Chris! Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 our car will whip all ur asses of the lights sub 5 seocnds 0-60
Noodles Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Its a good felling mate, dont worry what everyone else says
herb capri Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 THE THING IS 70% OF US HAVE OUR MOTORS OFF THE ROAD GETTIN EM DONE AT THE MOMENT AND THIS IS JUST A TERROTORIAL ROAR TO LET THE WORLD KNOW YOUR STILL HERE.................... in a fiesta
Mr Sam Posted January 4, 2008 Author Report Posted January 4, 2008 Its a good felling mate, dont worry what everyone else says im not power figure and stats mean nothing when some old shitters just done you whether you were ready or not
Muttley MK2 Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 The other day I stood behind Linford Christie at a pelican crossing, as the light went green POW! I raced across to the other side I looked round and noticed he was still on the other side tying his shoelace, still I beat him hands down eh??
Stu_B Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 It is a great feeling beating faster cars, I do it all the time, but if they are up for it to, it makes you realise how slow your cars is still gotta love it though
Muttley MK2 Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 It is a great feeling beating faster cars, I do it all the time, but if they are up for it to, it makes you realise how slow your cars is still gotta love it though The voice of reason
Essex Boy Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Its more fun to incapacitate their cars though Had an 07 plate M3 try to push out of a junction in front of me and i didn't let him go so he preceeded to drive an inch off my ass along a road i know well, It was pouring with rain so obviously if i brake he will go straight into me. What he didn't realise was the railway bridge ahead of us floods underneath badly in the rain can be well over 1FT deep. So i spedd up with him still glued to my ass i almost hit the top of the bridge when i aqua planed across this water went from 80-40 with the force of the water proper rally style out the otherside with the K&N snorting and the alternator light now shining brightly he droped back after that and pulled over ....Bonnet up..... oh dear The moral of the story???? modern cars are crap give me a distributer, points and a carb anyday
Toby Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 Dont entirely agree with the "wont ever beat an M3" they have great big long first gears and are heavy, Its not impossible for a little light (no offence Mr Sam) shopping car to nip away from the lights esp if the lion is napping! I used to have a Mk1 escort with a long first and you really had to give it big beans to get it off the line at a traffic light race. Sure there's an element of napping on the BMtroubleyou's side but I bet he didn't expect the fez to get the lead on him, even if it did pass a little way down the road he was still shamed enough to bother shooting passed. OWNED!! (but only briefly )
beedz Posted January 4, 2008 Report Posted January 4, 2008 showing people up for the first couple of gears at the lights is one of the more fun things of owning a tatty old fezza (talking about mine there sam! ) - and especially fun when the car alongside is blatantly a much more powerfull one (which includes most when you're still running a 950 )
FredTransit Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 If you think that's good, imagine the effect when you pull away in an A reg LWB tranny! Big sense of humor failure on the part of the bimmers.....
V8ian Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Pics of my cortina a few years ago, sorry it takes a little while to download, BUT----- http://www.v-8.org.uk/video/mk2_cortina.mpg My car is a lot quicker now, and guess what my daily is, its a BMW 530D tourer,
TwoLitrePinto Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 I was once playing with a new M3 i saw him in my rear view he shot up behind like a bat out of hell he was on my ass so i booted it on a nice straight A road, i was full chat with the 2.1 capri and he overtook like i was goin backwards from about 70mph, id just got into 3rd and he was beltin it round me after about 3 seconds (after slowing to my speed first)... i still try because cars like that i just love to see them rag it!
Durham Fiesta Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 its good having a sleeper to bait more exotic machinery. My mate has a corsa running 388bhp but looks nigh on standard and thats good fun as there's nothing around that can keep up with it
FredTransit Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 I overtook a Ferrari in a Mk1 transit on the A40 today I kid you not He was stuck behind some other piece of plastic in the inside lane, I saw a gap and was off! I love it when a plan comes together....
