my new shell yesterday from johnnyh, jolly decent bloke :D

now sitting on the drive awaiting my attention :lol: gonna get on with the welding asap but first need to cut up a range rover so if anyone needs bits let me know asap and i will take them off gently :D

I remember seeing the thread about that car, and I remember seeing it for sale in an advert placed by the well known seller of classic fords. Don't all their cars come with 12 months MOT and tax? Best of luck with the build...

It will keep you busy on these cold dark winter nights anyway!

At least you can see everything that needs doing before you start how many of us have lifted that damp carpet and got that sinking feeling? I know i have!

had it on its side earlier and the chassis rails are mint :D its not too bad when you think it still has all 4 original floor pans and inner sills :lol:

 

definitely. my mk2 was (and still is if i'm honest) worse than yours, and it's definitely worth repairing! The only bits that surprised me on your mk1 is the strut tops...do they usually go like that, i've never seen it before... what causes it?

Just initiated brain, and it's probably from mud etc thrown up from the wheels on the inner wings that cause it to rot from the outside of the inner wing inwards...?

Nice one. You keepin your other car then twink?

 

of course i am em :lol: when this one is done in the new year it will be the twinks turn for a full rebuild back t o road spec as my daily drive 8)
