johnny_h Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 *Holds breath for report* I wan't to hear someone else's tales of missfortune. Today I went to put my car back in the garage I rent from the housing authority to find a car parked across the front of the doors even though there are signs everywhere saying "No Parking, Constant access required" Above the garages are flats (mostly elderly residents). I tooted my horn a few times but nobody came so I drove back home to do some more bits and bobs. After about an hour I went to put it back in the garage and the said car (mk4 fiesta) was still parked across my doors. I tooted my horn for quite a few seconds and a few of the residents looked out of thier windows but nobody came to move the car. I thought about ringing random door numbers on the flats but decided it was a stupid idea as there were tons of flats. I remembered I had a ratchet and strop in the garage so i opened the door and squeezed in to get it and positioned the mex at the rear of the fiesta and hooked them up. I fired up the mex and blipped the throttle and was soon dragging the offending car up the road away from the garages. Once clear of the garages I returned my baby to her home and locked up the garage. Whilst walking back I noticed this old boy looking out of his open window at the fiesta. I called up to him and asked him if he knew who's it was and he replied "Yes, it's a vistitors car to one of the residents of these flats and you have no right moving it, you don't live here" I knew straight away that this busybody/nosyparker/old bastard had arranged this obstruction to teach me a lesson for being a bit heavy footed once in a while when parking or leaving the garage. He tried telling me that the area was for residents only and because I don't live there I have no right being there. I told him that I rent the garage from the local council but he wasn't having it. I thought to myself for a minute if I was being a bit of a nuisance to the locals but concluded that I only really work on the car at the weekend so the disturbance can only be when collecting or returning the car maybe once or twice a week for a maximum of 20 seconds at a time and that this old git was just one of the many window watchers with nothing better to do than moan at people with lives. I told him to get a life and keep out of mine and contemplated setting off a 100 bang firework barrage at 2am outside his flat but decided against it for the sake of his neighbours. F*cking old c*nt. The garages in question are in my siggy.
Fiesta Steve Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 Well done for moving his car, when renting a garage you normally rent the area in front of it too so he was on your rented property. Oh, and I like the firework idea
Twinkle Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 shame m8 i would of pushed it outta the way with the bullbars on the rangie fooker wouldnt park there again
dealy Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 I had some old fooker lean out of his window and give me a load of abuse once, he was shouting " tern that f**king thing off " and I only just pulled up at home. Funny thing was the next morning he had a couple of flat tyres, verry strange

yellowperil Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Don't you just love em, there's a old boy lives a few doors from me and we moved in to the road at the same time. when he saw the anglia he nearly had a fit and told me it lowered the tone of the neighbour hood and that he was going to contact the residents association, funny though i never heard anything but i take great pleasure from starting the car up first thing
105Nick Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 An old couple across the road from me commented when I got my osf "oh well, one day you'll be eble to afford a new car, we've all got to start somewhere i suppose"
