no worries mate, sounds like there may have been a prob before then if the OP was all over the shop, hope its something simple like the releif valve on the pump :thumbsup:

Sounds like it had oil surge and took a gulp of air at the trackday knocking out a big end.

 

If you rebuild the engine check the oil pick-up/strainer is central in the sump and the gap between it and the bottom of the sump is no less than 6mm and no more than 10mm. It's something that is often overlooked when rebuilding an engine, I know because I learnt the expensive way many years ago :oops:

Cheers for that info about the pick up pipe and sump mate, i always wondered that. :thumbsup:

 

Dunno what i am going to do next, i might just lay her up for a while now and keep on saving.

 

Its got to a point now where i have to start giving my girlfriend some more attention!! She has been second best to my cars for 8 years now so she is getting just a little bit pissed off!

I spose i better pop the question soon! :scared:

So have you had a bad experience at SPC Wessie?

 

when ike used to work for/run SAS tuning in aldershot he built a 'dodgy' engine for one of the members in our team, poor lad (was 13/14 at the time) lost all his championship points, end of year trophy (3rd) etc, and ike proved a tit to deal with afterwards accepting no responibility etc, claiming he built it all to the rules etc - bollox did he :evil: wasnt a cheap engine either
