Aren't you supposed to be tinkering with your Girly not blasting about in OSFs!! :ykt:

This sort of behaviour will only heighten the addiction!! :ykt::lol::lol:

Are'nt turbos cheating though?

only if you have NOS aswell

And slicks :ykt:

And bits of the car missing

What like an exhaust?

Only nitrous is cheating , just the same as bolting a jet engine on the roof is

Sambo if you want a whoooooooooosh pssssssssst turbo engine i know of a rebuilt standard spec cossie motor that's for sale in a few weeks for £1500

Will have to take you out in a 480bhp one, that will convert you :ykt:

I dont need coverting to the ways of the turbo yb but i'll happily act like i do to get taken out for a blast in the rs 2k

Oooooh yes please. While i did love the serious poke of the boost throwing you in your seat, i think i might miss the induction roar too damn much!! ??

:?

Yeah you do miss the roar, but at the same time when you are flat out in an atmo car and a turbo'd escort comes flying past and becomes a blur in the distance you will think why didnt i go turbo, no need for super short gearing to make it go faster, you can have a 3.7 or 3.44 diff and still be quick and have a nice motorway cruiser without the engine revving its nuts off at 7000rpm doing 70mph in the slow lane

That what i used to think when i had my pinto, it would be nice to have the best of both worlds but thats just not affordable :ykt:

Have a turbo'd car and an atmo monster, you will find an atmo escort will most of the time be quicker around a short track, unless you have big wheels and arches, which you do, like Paul baileys car, if anyone has seen that on track you will see how a high powered cossie engine can go in an escort, the ultimate weapon 8)

Kev. Stop it!! your starting to convince me!!!

Highly strung atmo's are amazing but i just seem to be bloody unlucky with them.

Trouble is.... i am bloody skint now, so a turbo lump is out of the question..... unless i have a nice chat with my bank manager!! (or my parents!!)

What do i do with the engine i have now!???

Posted

Is it a complete engine?

You could always sell it and put the money towards a turbo lump, just keep it simple, 3 bar map sensor, T3 or T34 and a set of greens, good for 300-330bhp running around 24psi of boost, i dont recommend anymore than that without a stud kit in the block cos the head will try lifting off the block :lol::thumbsup:

Then theres gearbox's to think about and fuel system, it can be done quiet cheaply with the right bits. All depends how far you wanna go

Hmm.... not sure yet. I think for now, i'll see if Mr Wigger will take a butchers at it sometime soon.

How much is it worth? Pinto bottom end, new 48's N/A cams, ported head, good for 200 bhp. If i get it freshened up (providing the damage isnt too serious) it's gotta be worth a few bob? Also, the SCCR rocket box wont be any use to me either with a turbo.

Anyway, i dont have a penny to rub together at the moment so i am not in a position to think about turbo engines!!

Cheers Kev.
