Mk2 Escort stolen in Cambridgeshire *FOUND*

I had my mk2 escort stolen last night from Ely, Cambridgeshire.

 

It was a 4-door auto ghia in Primer grey.

 

 

without the cibies, and the bootlid is missing the R (spells FO D) and a lot of gunk where the spoiler was glued on before.

 

I'm really pissed about all the tools I had in the boot. I hope they never got in it and it's found

 

I had just replaced the alternator the day before... if I'd left it they wouldn't have got down the road. Sucks.

Just hoping it gets recovered - hopefully just got bogged or broke the box/diff and left it without torching.

ive been all over cambridge area today and havnt seen it...im in that area tomorrow has well so ill keep a look out

Cheers mate I drove around Ely myself this morning, around some of the back streets + lanes out to fields, but I'm fairly sure it's down some small muddy lane in a ditch. Hopefully some walker will see it.

Car was found burnt out. I'm gutted, but not giving up. I'm going to make sure the next one is secure... :/

Just bought a fast crossflow, watching a couple of Mk2's around the place. Might have something going by the end of the month.

 

As gutted as I am the car was burnt out, at least they found it and i can move on.

LOL for 100 notes taxed, failed MOT on 1 tyre and corroded brake pipe. The spare is good, pipes need a clean and I'm done! Still, it's embarrasing to drive. I'd rather have my primer-grey mk2 any day.

feel sorry for you mate. how badly burnt out was it? is there nothing salvagable you can get back off the insurance ?

I'm still waiting for the insurance company to get back to me with a value on my car. I'm watching heaps of Mk2's on Ebay so I have a lot of backup for prices.
