Twinkle Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 Should ban it all together think how much tax i have to pay for NHS for people to treatment cos they wont stop smoking the cost to the nhs for treating smoking related illnesses is actually less than the amount of money that smokers pay toward the nhs through the taxes on smoking maybe YOU should pay more tax so the smokers dont actually have to pay for any treatment you need why do you think they dont ban it? simple, they make more money than it costs to treat the side effects therefore subsidising other nhs treatments.
Twinkle Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 oh and even as a smoker i think the permits are a good way to stop underage smokers. although lets face it, wouldnt take long for the fake permits to arrive!!
285Andy Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 im glad i quit nearly 2 years ago. its too much hasltle now plus i can now breath without sounding like Darth Vader and sleep without the sound of an accordian playing inside my chest maybe one day i'll take it up again i used to love a proper cigar
sambo Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 I smoke. Alot. Giving up is for quitters!
FredTransit Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 I don't smoke, but this sounds like yet another way to tax ordinary people some more. It's just playing into the hands of buying cigarettes abroad, as already said, which isn't illegal if done for your own use.
bortaf Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Ah well back to the Calais runs for me now where did i put those empty car battery cases i used back in the 90's to run fags Yes Mr john dahm my camper needs all 8 batterys as i wild camp a lot
Muttley MK2 Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Nothing at all will ever stop a hardened fag addict from smoking! I watched my mum chain smoke all of my childhood and then continue to smoke herself into an early grave No amount of money will stop smokers cos they CANT stop
Smudger105e Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Should ban it all together think how much tax i have to pay for NHS for people to treatment cos they wont stop smoking see-ing as 3 times as many people die of drink related deaths than through smoking i reckon they should ban alcohol, all my tax money going to save pissheads I heard on the radio the other day that 30% of city centre arrests are alcohol related, and 25% of fatal raod accidents involve drink drivers. Therefore 70% of city centre arrests do not involve alcohol and 75% of road accidents do not involve drink drivers. Draw your own conclusions!!
