There is going to be a theme to this one and that theme is 'road legal' cars. What we're aiming to do is get a selection of some of the best OSF's and then put them through their paces at Bruntingthorpe proving ground. We're looking for cars which are used often and used hard, we don't need minty fresh paint work and ding-free alloys, we need balls out road eating retro's that want to be let loose.Interested? Then read on...Firstly, we're going to aim to get two cars running the most common engines. I know there was a lot of interest, but the logistics of 30-odd cars are a nightmare. Not only that, it would kill the day in terms of driving time. So, this is how we'd like to work it...2x X-flow engined cars2x Naturally Aspirated YB engined cars2x Turbo YB engined cars2x Zetec engined cars2x Pinto engined cars2x XE engined cars2x V6 engined cars2x V8, Duratec, Trabant engined cars?With that mix, and that number of cars it should be a damn good day with plenty of driving time.The date we have gone for is Friday the 18th of April, we will have longer days by then and we'll also have warmer weather with anly luck!In terms of the cars themselves we would like to open the thrash up to those cars which have not attended one of our thrashes yet. Should there not be enough cars which meet that criteria we'll then go to the 'dab hand' thrash atendees.Finally, we will only be able to allow the driver and crew (if that's the case) onto the runway. This isn't a spectator thing I'm afraid. And by 'crew' that doen't mean filling every seat in the car. We have to keep things safe.I'll explain the format of the day and what we'll be doing when we get the numbers up.So, there you go.
