They've outlawed the sticky ones and left you with the rest cos they know it doesn't make much difference really . I would use the yoko A539's in the dry as a pretty good tyre and will do the job . Other people will have different preferences but it won't make much difference i don't think :thumbsup:

Falken is a very good tyre. Used them for racing years ago. Were 2 seconds a lap faster when scrubbed and re-cut. They then pulled sponsership and we had to use yoko 539. That was the most dangerous tyre i have ever used. No grip in wet or dry. We boycotted races until they specified a different tyre. Also raced on toyo t1-s. Good but not great. Looking at the list, i would probably go with the kumho Ecsta 711

Thanks for the advice - trouble is I don't think they do the Ecsta in 13" :(

 

I love Yokos and have a set of A048s I'm either selling or keeping for track days. Sadly I can't use them here though. Anyone know if the Yoko A008 are available in 13"?

I have 2 x A008 still in the silver covers new :thumbsup: Did have 4,

Bought the last 4 that Elite had in 185/60/13

Sorry still have 4 as i had 2 of them on the rear of my cortina for a year

But changed them for R888 / Toyo`s

So might sell them if there any good to you :wink:

i had continental sport 175/50 r13s on my golf and you couldnt get it to loose traction for love nor money!! well the suspension it had on it helped a lot but they seemed to grip in the wet just as good as in the dry!! :mrgreen::thumbsup:
