I've heard fostek do a good kit....

Depends what you want, you good go for a make shift option and use sierra cosworth rear calipers, or go down the route of wilwoods...

I thinks Noodles has done a wilwood conversion on his, look up the projects section!

Fiesta 1100 front solid discs and S.ierra rear calipers mate, thats what HT's use on most of their cars. Not too overpowering

You will have to shave the hubs down a tad to get the discs to fit, then just get some caliper brackets from hi spec or rally re-design

its worth the conversion for maintainance issues.

you can have the axle stripped to the casing in under half hour no sweat, no messing about with all that drum brake milarky

I all ready had the brackets but the fit was very good came with new disks & recon calipers & half shaft spacers so eveything was brand new

think it was around £200 but that was 3 years ago but you dont get the handbreak cable in the kit

i got my kit from burton it consists of a bracket that replaces the brake drum back plate so you got something to bolt the caliper to and then you need to get your halfshafts turn down to fit inside the disc. you will also need longer studs as the disc wall that mounts to the hub is alot thicker than a drum. it uses sierra rear calipers and i think there fiesta front discs. the kit also came with cables pads and shims.

cant remember how much this was but you can by this kit in various stages ie customer to suply own calipers ect

hope this helps

Fezza 4/5 discs , Escort Cossie handbrake cable , S.i.e.r.r.a calipers with sliders . Shafts need to be skimmed about 2mm ......

thats what i have been led to believe anyway......

i used sierra calipers.

brackets from yukspeed.

cable from gs escorts

fiesta mk1 solid disks

and i turned my halfshafts down a fair bit to get the disks over.

you can also tap a disk retaining screw in the halfshaft to center it, and you will also need to make an adjuster plate for the other half of the cable

not too hard at all for what its worth

Same here I didnt have to machine the half shafts down, i got the rally design kit which comes with discs, alloy brakets, Wilwood 4 pots, pads and handbrake cable which needs a bit of fabrication, I paid £470 but I went for x drilled and groved discs to match the front which cost about £30 more, so solid disc set about £450. And they fit behind most 13" wheels even though I will have to space the wheels out a bit. Oh and longer studs are a must

is that not a bit of overkill on the rear, that looks like a front brake set up?

I did think that but I never know what engine I will have in the car one day I didnt want to change all the rear then drop a cossie or v6 in it and have to do it all again, you do control the rear brakes though a in line regulator.
