deluxemk1 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 This has unlocked a memory or two for me. This very car was at my place of work in 1990 outside in a trailor I was a 16 year old bodyshop aprentice at Dutton Forshaw a rover main dealer in maidstone kent.We also had a rover tuning place next door called Rovercraft for those who remember it. I remember we opened the trailer one day to look inside and there it was in red paint at the time looking very sorry for itself then.Think it sat there for two years before it vanished .Came in one morning to find the trailer gone. How strange its turned up on here ! I never knew til a few years later as I got more and more into custom cars and drag racing (AS WELL AS OLD SKOOL FORDS!) that it was a famous car. I found a book called bizarre cars written in the late eighties someone gave me ,and there it was in the book ! A strange but iconic car of its era ,its great to see its back, from the dead ,sorted and hopefully going to a new home . This post made me smile I sat in this car as a 16 year old kid
