Which Restoration Company

Can anyone help me out with this ? Ive got a mk1 escort that i want restoring to mint but not necessarily concourse standard as im going to use the car as my daily driver.

Ive been onto The Escort Agency, Central Blasting and Retrosport and they all say that its their kind of work but im a bit lost as to who to go for. Im going for a look at Escort Agency and Retrosport and maybe CBS but has anyone got any feedback they could give me ???

Try Escort-tec , they are the boys and have tons of parts + good shells etc on site

I used a local firm, Phoenix Motor Bodies and am very impressed, top bloke who's passionate about cars. He has just finished restoring the volvo from the original saint with roger moore

theyre all pretty reputable mate i dont think it matters. get some quotes and have the cheapest. they all do good jobs

I've heard of ( and have seen ) fabulous work from Gary at RetroMotorSport.

He has his own room on here, but it'd maybe be worth giving him a ring

Before this turns into something nasty.

A member on this site had some work done by this company in Scotland who allegedly did'nt make a very good job of it, and then would'nt release the vehicle untill he had coughed up the money.

The above paragraph is the way I understand what happened. But I and other forum users only have the members view on this, the company in question has never come on this site to refute the allegations made or corrobarate them either.

 

IMO there are plenty of companies out there for you to choose from, if it was my car and I had heard of any sort of problem with a supplier, then I would'nt en-trust my car to them, simple as that.

But its your money my friend.

Near me I'd recommend JRE motorsport, they're not strictly a restoration company but Anton can turn his hand to whatever a customer needs.
