Mk 1 Escort Wings

Hi All,

 

Picked up some wings from my local motor factor for my Mk2 a few weeks ago and I asked him about standard Mk1 wings. He reckons one of the companies is on the verge of repressing them??

 

Was he spinning me a line or has anyone else heard the same. I need a pair for my mk1 but I'm not desperate (seem to be ending around £120 on ebay)

I know a man who sells tons of old ford panels and he sid the same, so it is a very good possibility I would say

What a pity we cant get a hold of panels etc made from the same stuff as Black Box's as they seem indistructable

I was told recently the same ............. the panels are due to be re pressed.

I was told the dies were worn out and once they get so far worn the wings go out of spec and wont fit. Would need a big investment from some one fo new dies...are the fibreglass ones worth considering?
