Lee-Mk2 Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 I took a few pics of the car over the weekend. '76 Mk2 Capri Lowered with image wheels Pinto on 45's
Von Loxlee Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 mate ur car is King lush! they 13x7 image wheels then? and how much is it lowered by? also if u dont mind me being cheeky but at that low what sort of angles r ur tca's at?
danny69 Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 also if u dont mind me being cheeky but at that low what sort of angles r ur tca's at? I love this car and the ride height, but i remember when my capri was lowered 2 3/4" at the front and my TCAs were angled slightly upwards which isn`t ideal, so I guess these would be too, perhaps more so. Nice shos Lee
4parajon Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Looks great, but I can't help but wonder what the rides like everytime I see it
Lee-Mk2 Posted April 22, 2008 Author Report Posted April 22, 2008 Cheers for the comments. As for the ride quality I think its fine - although maybe i've just grown use to it! Obviously speed bumps and large pot holes need to be taken with care, but the car is fairly long and that helps to avoid the "choppy" ride that many shorter wheel base cars can suffer from. Also the tyres are 205x60's which may have been considered "low profile" back in the 70's or early 80's but when compared to todays rubber bands make for a nice smooth ride. It is a bit of a toy and therefore I can put up with it not being practical all the time but that said it has been used on some fairly lengthy journeys ie. North Wales, Cotswolds and Le Mans and it was perfectly comfortable. I never intended the car to be as low as it is - that was due to me being too clever at the time - but I like the look and although it is probally not the optimum ride height it has never felt wrong. It does rub on full lock but that is about it, I have been in cars that have suffered at lot worse due to oversized rims.
13rok3nfaith Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Mate, not generally a fan of Mk2 Cappers, but that is absolutely spot on Credit to ya. -Mitch.

Lee-Mk2 Posted May 26, 2008 Author Report Posted May 26, 2008 Since posting the pics I have tried to sort ot the front bumper a bit. It has been bothering me for a bit but after i posted the pics I realised just how wrong it was. I think it is better although still not right I have taken notice of other Mk2's recently and it seems very few look right.
