Agreed!! I have had one of those gunston colortunes for both my old spitfire and my Rs now. Really handy piece of kit to have.

I couldnt answer that question to be honest as I have only used for standard applications.

 

I know they do Go kart and motorcycle variations as well as cars so I believe you could probably use the motorbike variant for the higher compression engine.

I recon they'd be fine for high comp' BUT they're only good for setting up the mixture on idle. Can't use it for the under load, conditions. Still good though. You can also set you idle mixture by looking for the fastest idle mixture setting.
