BronzeRS Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 Agreed!! I have had one of those gunston colortunes for both my old spitfire and my Rs now. Really handy piece of kit to have.
Supercharged Nat Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 are they any good for higher compression engines? sounds interesting.....
BronzeRS Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 I couldnt answer that question to be honest as I have only used for standard applications. I know they do Go kart and motorcycle variations as well as cars so I believe you could probably use the motorbike variant for the higher compression engine. Have a look on google for info. I did:)
BronzeRS Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 Halfords and Amazon.co.uk sell them. Spelt colortune if you cant find it
Toby Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 I recon they'd be fine for high comp' BUT they're only good for setting up the mixture on idle. Can't use it for the under load, conditions. Still good though. You can also set you idle mixture by looking for the fastest idle mixture setting.
Rick Posted May 12, 2008 Author Report Posted May 12, 2008 halfords ay... so they do sell something of use
