WHAT A BIRTHDAY PRESENT... Collected it Sat :woohoo: friend of a friend had it sitting in a garage for years, 1 previous owner :o Some TLC Sund, Mot'd Monday  and its back on the road :P Had a crummy paint job done a good few years back and some rust is now bubbling on rear arches so it will need a resto when hubby Dean gets the urge  but just gonna enjoy it for now. What you think?

Thanks, I am in love with it already :lol:

Can you believe we were followed when we collected it by stinking pikeys and had to pull over before going to the garage. They had the cheek to then pull up and ask if it was for sale - Dean replied NO F**K OFF

Wow!!

I bet you're like the cat that got the cream now you've got that. Nice find!

What's the history? How long was it stored away for? Is it low mileage?? Did it go straight through an MOT?

You bet ya, I bloody love the car and cant take my eyes off it

The guys dad bought it for him and he used it lots 89-mid 90's then garaged. He strangely mot'd it every year then tucked it back in the garage. 30,000 miles (been round i think) and runs like a dream. Already had new brakes incl calipers, hoses/pipes and a stainless exhaust, clutch and yes it did go straight through MOT on Mond :o got a bag full of history I need to go through when i get a min, including orig bill of sale and an interesting RSOwners Club Nov/Dec 89 Advert Supplement - some amazing adds for cars and parts. It also had the orig rear shocks that were so shot the car was down on its bump stops :o so last night Dean fitted some nice new Gaz ones :D not sure if I can get inserts for the fronts or not :? Rear wheel bearings should turn up today to fit tonight as they are real noisy. Weekend plan is to remove seats and rubber matting and hamerite the whole floor
