Cant speak for the rest, but I have a family RAC policy which covers all of our cars,

Had to use the RAC twice when the mex proper broke, and to be honest, they came and got me took me home no trouble.

i've had RAC recovery for 10 years and broke down lots !!!!!!! . They've transported my various motors home every time . I haven't bothered with all that home start bollox just the "get me home with my car" bit as it's cheaper

i did have AA but they refused to take my daily driver as it was 2low and would catch their flat bed. they told me i had 2 have it put on my policy so they could send a low loader out but then i changed to RAC and no prob's.

I have free breakdown cover with my insurance (Footman James). I've used them four times, and three of those times I have been taken home. The use local recovery people, and they are easily as good as the RAC, who I was with previously.
