I did object to seeing mk5 escorts, focus st's and the really modern fords being let into cf show...its CLASSIC FORD and no matter what anyone says is a classic a 2year old fiesta ST certinaly isnt.

Now considering how many years CF has been going and how many " buyers guides " they have done, its got to be hard to do a guide without repeating itself, yes new readers may not have seen the older mags, but you can here it now, " that feature was in the mag 4 years ago" So to keep the mag fresh, the newer 'classics' will have to be featured as they become more of a classic .. If anyone saw Johns red escort, the white and blue Zakspeed Mk2 and Steves 3dr all together, the 3dr was probably getting more attention.

Now you could argue that that would make a poupular car a classic as soon as the last one rolled of the probduction line, but I think there are only a certain number of cars that are desined to be 'classic' Also it depends how old the reader is. If you can remember when Mk1/2 Escorts could be bought new, then it can be difficult to accept that a car introduced while you were an adult can hold that staus. On the other hand, there are people here who are younger than s-ierras
brettp Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 i just think cossies are fast ford magazine and once you have seen one they are all much the same i do like them but i dont think they are a classic ford in the same way a cortina capri is do you not think they would stand out as very different on an old skool ford stand if only because of the whale tale
