Anyone get stick for liking old cars?

but in the last 3 years i've scrapped 12 of their 90's motors cos they cost to much to repair while mine just gets fixed

When they ask what my hobbies are and i say that i rally with my dad. My mates always say 'Oh fooking cool in a subaru??' Im like 'no they shite in a mk1 escort' They Always laugh. Until they see it. Knobs!!!

Don't let the b*gg**s grind you down mate. I look at like this; a guy I work with runs a merc (SLK whatever!), and gets the hump that he has to pay £500 odd quid just to have it serviced! Always puts a smile on my boat race when I can service my Capri for well less than a ton!

I have never had any one calling me sad for driving an old car, Infact

i was taking my car up the garage to park it up for the night and the kids were playing football at the bottom of the street they were about 10 to 15

year olds and they all up their thumbs up and said nice car mate.....

on the way back with my new focus i got the thumbs down ,they said the other cars cooler.................Who said the kids of today don't know any thing.....................

my bird loves my car. My olds dont get it at all. I said I was going to the old foot meet. My dad says "what you going to do, stand in a car park walking past each others cars". My brother loves the capri, but his bird doesnt like any of the cool cars I have owned supras/minis/325i BMW/scirocco. She is utterly puzzled that I dont go and buy a honda accord or something equally mind numbing

You think you have it bad, try running em commercially. I get 'why don't you buy a new van?' from the people at the spares shop. To which I reply er, this is a spares shop right? So If I had a new van, I wouldn't need parts and you would be out of a job....... I don't hear it from the same person twice Also, I figure the Mk6 transit owners will not be laughing when they are paying over £300 in road tax cos they have emissions recorded at the DVLA and we are paying £185 cos we don't...... We make the same money as anybody with a new van, and don't have the depreciation.
