ok , tell me how!!

well mines been bored to 2.1, you can do a slight bore and use 2.8i pistons to keep cost down, fastroad cam, i have a piper bp285, bit of porting work, 38DGAS carb (cheap and effective) with a K&N and a decent exhaust manifold and system

probably the best way to go and not goin into silly costs! will get a lot of poke for your money too

thanks for the comments chaps, i love the car to bits, copey its a 1600 not a 2litre, that why i asked what i could do to it cos you dont hear much about tuning the 1600 motor, did you think it was a 2.0?

Looks really sweet mate.

TBH most people wanting to tune a 1600 Pinto start by swapping it for a 2 litre one. It'll cost just as much to uprate a 1600 pinto only to get results that will be significantly less than you'd have got if you spent the same amount on a 2 litre. Capris do look good with a V engine filling all the space under the bonnet, but for less expenditure you can get excellent output from a 2 litre pinto, 4 pistons to buy instead of 6 etc etc, and they're lighter.
