Who restored the wooden wheel for you and how much was it? I have a lovely wooden wheel in my Alfa but the wood is split across the top of the wheel, I didn't know you could get them restored
Retro-gone. Posted June 15, 2008 Author Report Posted June 15, 2008 just take it to an antique furniture restorer or french polisher, cost me 15quid and that included 2 coats of clear laquer.
whitey Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 The car looks amazing , the tyres are a nice added touch .

mk3tina Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 i think this is the finest mk1 capri ive ever seen, wheels and tyres compliment it so much, im a bit of a fan of round headlamps and mirrors on the doors or not at all rather than on the wings. but still its
richie_stix Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 shweeeeeet motor mate! your car has all the wicked muscle car inspred tricks i love... raised white letters, rear window louvres, brilliant paint job... all you need now is a matte black bonnet! would look double hard! and by the way, swapping a 1.6 for a 2 is a piece of piss mate if you are confident... i hadn't done anything like that last year, but after my 1.6 began chain smokin i picked up a 205 block pinto with a skimmed head (injection head) and a high torque cam and it was so easy to swap... like 8 or so hoses, couple of wires and a hnadgul of nuts and a fook lot of heave ho!
