so how do you do burnouts without a linelock?

 

lock your wheels over and floor it?

slight pressure on the footbrake to bring the front brakes on then drop the clutch. tom on here is very good at doing this

I can do them in the capri when the roads are damp.

 

Give it loads of gas, drop the clutch quickly, as it starts spining, very quickly lift your left foot off the clutch and hit the brake hard with your left foot. Then you can sit there as long as you like, or until you get wrong off your bird for doing it the local retail park

i heal and toe it and i've got a line lock, i'm just to use to having to heal and toe it

and heal on the brake

well once the clutch is up then u aint got no worries so wot i do is absolutely plant my foot in the floor dump the clutch then lightly place my left foot on the brake (not too hard!) holding me in place

if your facing uphill its easier, or rolling backwards, but i normally give it a rev, drop the clutch, left foot brake, rev rev rev. smoke everywhere...

 

if you fancy completely wasting the tyres (keep an eye on the engine temp) keep going and you will notice it gets easier until you can slap it in 2nd and carry it on with smoke coming through the carpet until you can barely breathe, no one can see you through smoke, then when you feel theyre about to pop, let off the brake and off you go up the road (private of course ) sideways

Mr pup, you are not alone. I use the ball of my right foot on the brake and tilt my foot sideways so the lower half of the outside of my foot is on the throttle.

 

everyone else is just weird and have probably got 42 toes

i cant do burnouts cos i always give too much brake and kill it.

 

but if im in teh volvo i have my heel on the throttle....in the escort my heel is on the brake.

 

i do it both ways
