I would NEVER buy a car on ebay with paypal, you have to be careful, i saw a mk2 rs2000 on there as a buy it now for about £2000 a couple of montha ago the guy also had a triumph tr3 as a buy it now at the time and i requested to look at both cars and the guy fed me some bullshit about having to go abroad the next day, it was so obviously a scam, i put the cars on my (watching) part of my ebay and within an hour ebay sent me a letter saying the listings had been removed as they were a scam. The scammers are clever as they try to use peoples greed to snap up a bargain but like this mk1 rs its waaaaaaaaaaaaay to go to be true, a really sharp mk1 rs for £1900!! yeah right.

The other thing they do apperantly is sell the car many times over on deposit.

ie- will not expect people to pay full price for car but take a deposit via paypal for it, think , you only need 10 eager people to chuck doen 200 notes deposit, wich with the amount of wanting for an osf at the moment would not be hard to do if you have hi-jacked a respectable abayers account.

Quick £2k made and your off to next scam.

maybe ask if you can pay a deposit find his accoutn details and shop him to the police instead

See if you can get his address off ebay and then pay him a visit, in the car, and 'politely' ask why he's trying to sell your car for you
