Retro-gone. Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 i love my bikes as much (well nearly) as much as my capri, ive been riding for more years than i care to think about, my dad bought me a raleigh runabout field bike when i was 12 and ive never been without a bike since, i currently own a 1976 Suzuki GT750 triple (2stroke) and a 1999 suzuki 1200 breathed on bandit, heres a few of my bikes ive owned in the past , in no particular order but starting with my sports moped Suzuki AP50 in 1977, im on the left and my mate is on the malaguti.. these are probably 1 quarter of the bikes ive owned, havent got the rest on disc yet, i built many a streetfighter and chop for my self and others but nowadays prefer spending my time restoring 70's jap bikes..
Trevmk3 Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 loving the black chop mate (whats with the hair ) and the yellow Yam. im hoping to be able to afford to do my direct access before they change the testing laws in the coming months. my brother has riden bikes since 16 and has got through a number, and wrote off a few
Retro-gone. Posted July 12, 2008 Author Report Posted July 12, 2008 the hair was a 'roadrat' haircut, a must have for serious bikers in the 80's not sure what you mean about the yellow yam tho.
Admin Vista Posted July 12, 2008 Admin Report Posted July 12, 2008 In used to and drove them like a man possessed, then a friend of mine was killed on his just as I was about to buy another one. It put me off and I've never gone back to them
Copey Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 second to last, that is a yamaha aint it? yeah it is
Retro-gone. Posted July 12, 2008 Author Report Posted July 12, 2008 yeah its a fz750 i built from a box of bits . you dont like it then? each to thier own mate but i paid 150Quid for it in bits and sold it for 1400quid 2 months later. that was 2 years ago.
Copey Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 i quite fancy a bike now, i have a lot of biker mates never really wanted a bike til i met them
Trevmk3 Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 no mate i love it, i like the look of streetfightered bikes
Trevmk3 Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 heres a couple of my brothers recent bikes he's now about to put a deposit down on a new R6 as he wrote off his GSXR750
Trevmk3 Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 he had nothing but problem with that bike, the electrics were awful, water getting into the condesors and stuff like that i think it was, and then it set itself on fire when he parked it up at work, again the electrics decided to selfdestruct. luckily it was only melting a bit but it needed a new loom so when he got Triumph to make the repairs for free he got rid and had the GSXR

stevepeanut Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I've had bikes since I was 17, mainly sports stuff, cbrs zxrs gsxrs. Also had a 1200 bandit a couple of years ago, yoshi cams and few other things done, got an extended JMC swingarm and ran a 10.3 1/4 mile on it. At the moment I have an aprilia sl1000 which I have just put flat bars on this one is mrspeanuts fazer 600 parked up next to mine at devils bridge also this bottom one is my old slabside 750 gsxr with a tuned bandit 1200 motor in, pic took at elvington while racing in the straightliners series [/img]
mk3tina Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 ive had a few bikes/scooters, my first at 16 was a gilera DNA50, now that was just trouble fromt he start, constantly cutting out etc etc, was fast for a scooter bike thing, did 55 derestricted which was faster than most 50cc's my mates had. then i got a vespa px125 that had a 180 kit put in it, now that really shifted rode it back from leeds down the M1 at 70mph. then i got a 1992 cagiva mito 125, it had a lot of tuning done to it and it was a lot of fun when it worked, think i got about 115 or so from it, sold it when it started to bugger up. and at the moment ive got two bikes in various states of disrepair, a chopper ive built that has the engine from a 1978 cb250n in it, and a 1983 cb125rs that ive stripped back and modified to be like a pre-65 trials bike
Gonzo Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I currently got 7 1/2. These are the only 2 that are in one piece at the mo: Ex-MOD Armstrong MT500 [still needs to be jetted properly...] And my baby, GasGas EC250 Supermoto I also got 2 Suzuki TS125R's [soon to be 1 after I sell one to a mate] 1 1/2 Kwacker KX500's, 1 AR125 ratbike [gonna sell that to me bro] and a Z1000H. All in bits.
