Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 My mate (P.R.D Co-Director) was driving home from work yesterday and he said it was a non stop swarm of them from London Bridge to Charlton. He had to keep his windows up and killed quite a few by putting his wipers on Apparently they only live for a couple of days, they all come out, mate, then they die... apparently I think our own Mr. Ratman will be able to clarify that

bmxdave Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 I think its an evil plot to take over the world. But they fail when they realise theres too many of us and theyre not clever enough. So they regroup after a few days to plan new ways to take over. But because theyre so stupid they just do the same thing every year. One of them did steal my brother, and nicked a 40ft tree out of our garden. Couldnt steal the pinto out my car though, I dont think theyre as strong or as big out this way.
ratman Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 sorry to burst your bubbles boys & girls but the black ant (lasius niger) is not a man eating car moving alien Flying ants are not a separate type of ant. They are merely winged black ants, which emerge from the nest in large numbers over a short time period. This usually occurs in the late summer and will often occur from many nests in an area at the same time. The winged ants flyaway , mating on the wing. The males then die with the mated females surviving to found new colonies. as per life the male has is end away then gets sharfted
