the volvo isnt a bad car. its ok for 'no worries' driving. if someone drives me i dont care, if i drive into someone i dont care, i can park it in rough areas, its big soeveryone moves out the way on the road, its fast-ish, it doesnt rust, its got more room than a transit van and its rwd......and so boring

 

i just think theres summat cool about the starlet.

i just sometimes get to a point with my car and think 'is it worth the effort?' people will still walk past it at shows cos itll look like a 1.3 ghia and its constantly letting me down. im running out of thigns to add to the car cos the only bits i need are the ones you cant get anywhere.

i would go out and find a carpark (i know of a nice grass one) and go for a spin but the car keeps bloody falling apart

this is the best Jap car i ever had, a Datsun 180SSS (triple s was its nickname) .

 

ps, antz i/we know what your going through, its been happening to me and prob the rest of these guys all our driving lives, cars are like women, you get tired of them so you change, then you realise the new one aint as good but you cant get your old one back so you spend half your life kickin yerself.

I still have ideas about sellin the capri and buying somethin else, but i know il regret it.

Mines a 1600 AUTO and it didnt stop us from doin about 85 mph on the standard engine and box
