crapichris Posted July 28, 2008 Author Report Posted July 28, 2008 well said. they always say that metal can be replaced, humans can't. However not sure that this car can be replaced!

Rick Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 thats shit mate fight for every penny, doctors cant disprove a back injury. have a week off work
caprinerd Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 had a motor bike hit my old audi and son got 1800 compo out of them for mild whiplash screw him for what you can m8
crapichris Posted July 28, 2008 Author Report Posted July 28, 2008 saw the doctor this morning who confirmed I have mild whiplash. Told me to take the day off and rest. In the cold light of day I had a reasonable look at the damage (couldn't look thoroughly as my neck wouldn't work 100%) but it appears the chassis rails, boot floor and rear wing isn't bent. Been to a bodyshop and they reckon I need a new rear panel, a bit of hammering, a new bumper and an exhaust. Problem they have is getting hold of the opanels so I will be spending most of today off sourcing bits. Insurance company has already rung back stating they are claiming from him as it was his fault - apparently it was his wife insurance he was driving on so lets hope for his sake he was a named driver. What do you get for justifiable homicide these days?
DarrenM Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 My wife had whiplash (100% Genuine) in 1998 and got £4500 with a good lawyer.
tommy2ltr Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 sorry to hear about that mate squeeze every last penny out of the little shit!!!
FredTransit Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 Sorry to hear about this. Don't forget to claim for loss of earnings and lasting discomfort. Not saying you should do anything fraudulent, just get what you are due. DO NOT let the insurance take your car anywhere, if they right it off it will be a nightmare to get it back.
Copey Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 thats a rotten bit of luck that is!! stupid chav shit!! tryin to get people to beat you up, you should take him to the cleaners, personal injury, loss of earnings etc like fred said!! hope the car doesnt cost too much to fix, you will have to get some pictures up
badchild Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 seriously?? I feel diddled and I was hit by a Mk2 Golf Yep, seriousley
Trevmk3 Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 sorry to here about the twat in the corsa hitting your car mate
Toby Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 starngely it is my fingers aching at the moment My other half had someone up her rear end!! They were only crawling along (stop it!!) and her fingers hurt too, apparently it's common to grab the stearing wheel and pull your fingers. She's is fine now and I hope you at least get enough money out of the insrance company to fix your car without it costing you.
escortmad79 Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 I hate p****s like that who play the race card! F***ing grow up you t**t! Hope you wipe the floor with him!!
caprinerd Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 you really need to play on the neck injury m8 and screw him for all you can, if its his wifes insurance better prey he`s covered on it or find his address out and get some mates to pay a visit as youve got a bad neck
Jeff HPE Motorsport Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 I feel for ya mate, its bad enough getting hit up the back by anything, let alone a Corsa, especially by one of them, I supposed he was smoking a ganga at the time, Jeff Harris..
crapichris Posted August 1, 2008 Author Report Posted August 1, 2008 thanks for all the support. Fortunately the car is not mortally injured! I have had a couple of guys look at the damage and it is a new rear panel, bumper, exhaust, j trim, and rear light. It will need someone with a big hammer to knock out the rear wing but it is all repairable - that is if I can get the parts. Just waiting for the quotes to pass onto my insurance people. I am with Heritage and, so far, they have been fantastic. By Monday afternoon I had the claims department, the legal department, and their solicitor ring me. By tuesday first post I had the claim form. Definateley doing him for the neck. I also discussed charging him for the loss of the use of the car during the summer show season and my solicitor thought it would be worth charging him >£250 for the privaledge!!!! Also suggest I got another rear light, patched up the exhaust and charged him for that too!!!!!"!!!!!!!!! Boy is his insurance going to wack up his premium next year.
