Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 18, 2008 Admin Report Posted September 18, 2008 We have a new TV and with the old one I could operate the TV with the Sky Remote because IIRC the Sky man punched in a code so that I could use the one remote for the TV and the Sky. Anyone got any ideas how I can get the Sky Remote tuned into our new TV? I have looked at all the Sky menu's and can't see anything obvious there Can anyone help?? Please???
Admin Vista Posted September 18, 2008 Admin Report Posted September 18, 2008 It certainly used to be in the sky menu as I set my own up like that. As I recall it was in services and system set up. I've just been and looked though and it isn't there anymore. Maybe a call to customer services for advice? Be sure and avoid the 0845 / 0870 number by using: http://www.saynoto0870.com/
Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 18, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted September 18, 2008 Oooooh, thanks very much - never heard of that say no to 0800 thing before
V8ian Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Jo try putting 01 when the main menu is up, I think this puts you into housekeeping, which may let you do the setup.
Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 18, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted September 18, 2008 Nice one Ian - I shall try that
Pipster007 Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Jo try putting 01 when the main menu is up, I think this puts you into housekeeping, which may let you do the setup. Jo doesn't even do her own housekeeping, let alone try to housekeep her remote

2.8i Cossie Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 there is a list of codes in the sky manual which refer to the TV brand. You just have to follow a simple 7 step guide i think to program the code for your TV. should be easy to do
Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 18, 2008 Author Admin Report Posted September 18, 2008 I don't have a Sky manual ... do I?

Fiesta Steve Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 1. Press TV on remote. 2. Hold down 'select' and the red key together until the red light on remote blinks twice (after about 2 secs) 3. Press TV again. 4. Type in code, red light should blink twice. 5. Press 'standby' on your remote. If your tv switchs off, press select. The light on your remote should blink twice. If your tv does not switch off, press tv the press standby. Repeat the sequnce of pressing tv then standby until the tv switchs off, then press select. If the light blinks three times, your remot control has checked all the possible settings for the code used. Check you have the right code and start again at step 1. 6. Turn your tv back on and press 'tv guide' on your remote control. The tv guide menu appears, meaning the remote control settings are made properly. Let me know what tv you have and I'll tell you the code
