...for casting a professional, and MOT-friendly eye, over my Mk2 at his BMW garage. His work place has got one of the neatest and biggest workshops I have seen. I didn't see one spanner!

Do any of these modern main dealers still use spanners? Half the time it seems to me that they plug a laptop in for 5 minutes and then charge ypu for an hours labour!

Funny you mention that Vista, he had two computers, a leather & chrome executive chair near his workstation and a blonde female to bring him important bits of paper. Very swish

 

It's not all good, my clutch cable snapped on the way back. I had a replacement but the reinforced casing was too long so I had to do a cut 'n shut job at the roadside.

 

And Tom just after I sent you that text today my phone died permanently. I was also going to say I can bring round my parcel shelf for you to trial fit if you want?
