Guys

Hopefully someone on here can give me a few pointers, I am on Tiscali Broadband, with an alledged 2.2 Mbps speed. this has been running tip top for the last 12 months.

But for the last 2 weeks or so I am having issues running videso, (ie) they start, stop and then buffer, for ages. :(

Fleabay pictures are starting get slow and now even posting this the tab took 30 seconds.

I have phoned India and they are supposed to be sending me info on slow running, but not received yet.

I did download Internet Explorer 7, but India told me this is not really compatable with Windows XP so I deleteted it.

now it has reverted to a 1990's dial up mode. Has anyone got any ideas of things to try........

Yo Dean, for some reason there has been a problem with Tiscali around these here parts (even parts of Essex). I went out to look at one a couple of weeks back & thought it was the PC, but it wasn't. I then decided to reboot and reconfigure the router, but it wasn't that either. It was Tiscali

Bear with it for a week and let me know what happens (best to text me) & I can pop over to have a look

Oh and them telling you the Internet Explorer is incompatable with XP is Bollix... total Bollix. It's the most secure Microsoft web browser ever and was designed and tested on XP

BTW, I did return your PM the other day

 I've run IE7 on XP since it first came out, no problems what so ever.

I've also had tiscali as an ISP, they're rubbish and I'd get shot of them if I were you. I had speed problems all the time and loads of ridiculous claims that it wasn't them it was BT etc etc.

To be honest half the reason I ring them is to what b*ll8x they are going to tell me next. The latest Bill Gates quote was, you need to download XP home edition and that will make it work.LOL!

Something went snap last Thursday with Tiscali and ever since it has been shite.

This is above my head, but the PVC code keeps changing, it is better than it was could have to arrange for a JIM BOB home visit :ykt:
