105eee Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 The xr3i in 15th place is my mates, he is a trainer in electrics at Fords training centre, he bought the car new in 1986, had it a year and sold it to my brother-in-law, he had it until 2001 then gave it back to my mate and he has just done a full nut and bolt rebuild, it looks brand new under the bonnet and under the car, they had a few probs with the paint but this is going to be put right by fords heritage centre where the car is kept. also it helps to have contacts at fords as he gathered a lot of obselete parts by phone calls around the country, oh to have insider knowledge
